Terms of service

Last updated 2 Sep 2026. Plain English, and it means what it says.

The service

Voltping checks websites you tell it to check and notifies you about what it finds. We aim to run continuously but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and monitoring is not a substitute for your own backups, hosting or security arrangements.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password and API keys private. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. You must be authorised to monitor the addresses you add.

Acceptable use

Do not use Voltping to probe systems you do not own or have permission to monitor, to conduct load testing, or to attempt to disrupt any service. We refuse to connect to private network addresses for this reason. We may suspend accounts that breach this.

Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where applicable. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; the plan runs to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change.

Your data

Your monitoring data belongs to you. You can export it through the API at any time. If you close your account we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for accounting purposes.

Liability

Voltping is provided as-is. We are not liable for losses arising from an outage we failed to detect or report, or from a false alert. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and we will tell you why.

Changes

If we change these terms materially we will email account owners at least 30 days beforehand.
