What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, hashed password, and the workspace you belong to.
- What you monitor: the URLs you add and their configuration.
- Check results: status codes, response times, error messages, certificate and domain expiry dates, and content fingerprints. We store a hash of monitored content, not a copy of the page.
- Operational logs: IP address, user agent and timestamps for sign-ins and account changes, kept for security and retained for 90 days.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in and carry status messages between pages.
Why we can hold it
To perform the contract you signed up for, and for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working. Billing records are kept because tax law requires it.
Where it lives
On servers in the European Union. Payments run through Stripe, which acts as an independent controller for payment data; we never see your card number. Email is delivered through our transactional mail provider.
How long we keep it
Raw check results are kept for the retention period of your plan (7 to 365 days). Daily uptime summaries are kept for the life of the account so your history and reports stay intact. When you close your account everything is deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it you can do yourself in the app or through the API; for anything else email privacy@voltping.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
